Andrew qualified as an accountant in 1994 having trained locally. As head of the firm, Andrew not only oversees its operation but also specialises in giving advice to businesses ranging from personal tax returns to larger corporate clients. He advises on taxation matters including planning in relation to income tax and capital gains tax. Andrew is part of the team that offers business advisory services to clients who wish to see their businesses grow and be more successful and profitable.
Lisa adds the human touch to us as accountants. Not being an accountant means she is able to look at things from a non-accountants view point and intervene when things get too technical. Lisa deals with all the clients books and records that enter our building making sure the accounts process is as efficient as possible and that nothing gets lost.

Nicola qualified with the firm in 1999 having trained locally beforehand. She acts as the audit manager on our larger assignments but is rapidly becoming our small business specialist. Dealing with small self employed people, partnerships and limited companies, Nicola is aware of how daunting the regulation surrounding modern day business is. She is fully able to support clients through the pitfalls of small business and adds value to their work by drawing on her experience of larger clients.
Andy joined ApC in May 2007 and since then has taken control of our tax department. Andy brings a wealth of experience in tax having previously worked for HM Revenue and Customs for almost 10 years and with several practices in the East Midlands. Andy specialises with personal and corporation tax and together with the business advisory team can really save clients considerable amounts of money. Andy also deals with any enquiry from HM Revenue and Customs and is able to assure and help clients through what can be a very traumatic and emotional experience.

Steven joined the firm in 1999 and has since fully qualified in accounts and tax. He is the newest member of the management team and as such is keen to help clients with their business needs. Steven is looking to grow the firm so he can help more people prosper in their business environment and pay less tax. Steven says "Many businesses pay too much tax simply because they do not know what they can claim for. I make sure all my clients claim the full amount they can."
Steven has a large amount of experience of electronic bookkeeping packages including Microsoft Excel and is happy to answer any queries you may have on these. He trains our clients on Sage either by visits, email or the telephone and as such can communicate the technological content in a way clients can understand – no computing jargon.
